For nearly a century, the international hostel movement has gathered people of the world together in an atmosphere of friendship and respect, expanding their worlds through educational travel. Hostels around the globe promote interaction among travelers, provide a sense of place, increase awareness of the natural world, and encourage cross-cultural understanding and international friendship.
Hostel Adventures are interactive, experiential education programs for youth and adults that encourage the exploration of our natural environment, our local communities, and other cultures around the world.
From environmental education to cultural programs, travel workshops to mural art projects, Hostel Adventures are ultimately designed to promote environmental stewardship, intercultural exchange, and responsible travel.
There are four types of Hostel Adventure programs:
All aboard The Golden Gate Express at San Francisco's Conservatory of Flowers
Call for Entries: "Discover the World" Essay Contest for Girl Scouts
Beat the chill with Winter Weekday Specials at four coastal hostels
"Surfing 50 States" Documentary Premiere
50th Anniversary Celebration: Thanksgiving Potluck at the Marin Headlands Hostel
